Below is information about Pack 355 and our program for those interested in joining.

About the Pack

Cub Scout Pack 355 was established in 1959 and has a rich history of serving the youth of Millbrae and the surrounding community.  Proudly chartered through the Millbrae Lions Club, Pack 355 is comprised of boys, girls and their families, and is part of the Pacific Skyline Council's Discovery District.  The Pack is comprised of grade level “dens” – Lions, Kindergarten, Tigers, 1st; Wolves, 2nd, Bears, 3rd, Webelos, 4th, & Arrow of Light, 5th.

Pack 355 strives to develop the whole child and create young people of character that are equipped for the challenges that lie ahead and “bridging” to Scout Troop 355.  Our program combines outdoor activities, community service, and fun, traditional Cub Scout events.

The Pack usually meets 1-2 times a month, usually on Friday evenings or weekends for events.  Dens may also meet once a month on weekends.  We encourage families to attend all activities, but also realize that there may be scheduling conflicts that prevent scouts from attending all events.

Registration Information

If you would like to join the Pack, visit beascout.org, click on “Apply Now” and follow the instructions.  This will register you with Cub Scouts, during which you will pay the annual national/regional dues and one-time registration fee (approx. $180).  The Pack also collects $90 to cover the cost of facilities, patches, food, etc. for the year.  We will collect this separately after registration.  Once you are signed up, we will add you to the Pack listserve and send more information about upcoming events and volunteering.

Uniform

For most meetings, community events, etc. scouts will wear their “Class A” uniform.  This is the traditional blue or beige shirt, neckerchief (with slide), Pack hat, scout or other blue pants/shorts/skort, and belt.  For hikes, camping, service projects, etc. scouts will wear their “Class B” uniform, which is the Pack T-shirt.  Families need to purchase the Class A shirt, belt, and either scout or other blue pants/shorts/skort.  For more detail on uniforms, visit here.  Uniforms may be purchased at the Scout Store in Foster City.
